Clouds above the clouds
High in the Alps where the cold winds bite,
An adventurer and his hound in yellow light
Cliffs that rise like jagged teeth in the sky,
They scale with courage, like a Hollywood fall guy.
A refuge found where the mountains breathe,
A shelter carved from the earth’s own sleeve.
The mountains found a shelter for climbers.
Far away from the bomb of Oppenheimer’s
The lands below, ravaged by greed,
Where looters prowl and survival’s a need.
But above, in the snow and the icy air,
A whispered side-quest, a hope in this despair
A flower rare, in yellow light it grows,
Its petals hold power that nobody knows.
Rumored to heal, to cleanse and to save,
From the poison of radiation, a cure to crave.
